Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Nature Mentor
Volunteer nature mentors- these parents/caregivers would work alongside our school leader during our Friday preschool group from 9am-1pm and ideally also be available for winter, spring and summer camps in exchange for full or highly discounted tuition for their child/children. Volunteers' nature mentors may bring their children under 3 years to class. Volunteers must pass a full background check, complete first aid and CPR certifications, as well as basic child health and safety trainings.
Volunteer Site Maintenance
Volunteer landscape/site maintenance help- These parent/caregiver volunteers will help make improvements to our nature space at Blue Heron Park. Duties would include moving mulch, weed eating, pruning, blackberry removal, invasive species removal, and trail improvements. These volunteers will earn modest tuition discounts on a per hour of work basis.
